1. Settle the score
等同于revenge, which involves hurting or punishing someone who has hurt or harmed you.
The groups had historic scores to settle with each other.
She said she would settle the score for Tom.
2. We're on a clock.
It means we don't have much time availible / we need to hurry up.
be on a clock
You are on a clock and hurry up, or you will be late !
fight the clock
race the clock
动词 v + against the clock
Fight the clock and hurry up, or you will be late !
Race the clock and hurry up, or you will be late !
Go against the clock and hurry up, or you will be late !
3. Save your starwood points.
因为save在这里的用法不像save time, save money或者save my life那样的直译。
Oh come on, save the shopping, it's so boring.
Save the toy and i prefer flowers.
Save your strength for the hard work you'll have to do later.
Save your breath,I‘ve already known you’re lying.
4. The Sheraton's not my scene.
If you say that an activity or place is not your scene, you mean that you do not like it or enjoy it.
be not my scene
Lying on the beach all week isn't my scene.
This restaurant's not her scene.
5. Live it up, pal
it's your birthday, so let's live it up!
Let's go to Europe for two weeks and live it up.
There is no reason why you couldn't live it up once in a while.
